Bury Bad News: FBI releases Clinton email probe just before Labor Day weekend

29472

Russia has been blamed for a number of recent hacks in the US. Media outlets also claim Moscow targeted electoral systems in at least two American states. However, little evidence has been given - with only 'anonymous FBI workers' cited as evidence, while the FBI hasn't officially mentioned Russia. The FBI has now released the findings of its investigation into the Hillary Clinton email scandal. However the timing of the report has sparked criticism. It was made public on Friday, just before the Labor Day Weekend, with some commentators noting it's a convenient time to bury bad news.
